The CM-617 doesn't: hold the right button with Home for three seconds and it switches between Nintendo Switch, Steam, Android, and iOS mode — the exact combos are printed right on the controller. On PC it identifies itself as an Xbox 360 controller, so it works out of the box with the huge number of games and emulators built around that standard, no extra drivers needed. Under the shell it has Hall-effect triggers that resist the drift standard potentiometer triggers develop over time, a six-axis gyroscope for motion aiming and steering, two remappable back paddles (M1/M2), and dual vibration motors with four intensity levels. It connects over Bluetooth for couch play or a USB-C cable for zero-latency wired play when the battery is low.
