The Dell Precision 7720 is an imported flagship mobile workstation for Egyptian engineers, designers and technical teams who need maximum expandability in a 17.3-inch chassis. The vPro Core i7-7820HQ has 4 cores and 8 threads, four SODIMM slots take up to 64GB of DDR4, and an M.2 slot plus a 2.5-inch bay give up to 2TB of storage expansion. Graphics and display vary by unit, with an NVIDIA / AMD GPU and up to a 4K UltraSharp UHD PremierColor screen.
Why Choose the Precision 7720
- vPro Quad-Core ProcessingThe i7-7820HQ boosts up to 3.9GHz and includes Intel vPro for corporate manageability and remote security features.
- Up to 64GB DDR4Four SODIMM slots take 4x16GB, so memory is upgradable and not soldered.
- Expandable StorageAn M.2 PCIe NVMe slot plus a 2.5-inch SATA bay let you add up to 2TB of additional storage.
- Professional GraphicsDedicated NVIDIA / AMD GPU, certified for professional CAD, 3D and rendering software.
- 4K PremierColor Display OptionThe UltraSharp UHD IGZO panel covers 100% Adobe RGB for colour-critical design work.
- Full-Size ServiceabilityA larger 17.3-inch chassis leaves room for maximum expansion and easier component servicing over the machine's life.
In real work, the i7-7820HQ with a large memory pool handles big AutoCAD and Revit models, SolidWorks assemblies, multi-layer Photoshop files and everyday virtual machines. On units with a Quadro P4000 or P5000 you can also run GPU rendering and demanding 3D viewports, and the second storage bay gives you room for large project archives.
Some honest limits. Every unit is a different configuration, so check the variant for exact RAM, storage, graphics and display before you buy. This is a 2017-era Kaby Lake platform, so it is well behind current CPUs in raw multi-core speed. The 7720 is one of the larger and heavier mobile workstations Dell has made, at around 3.42kg with a substantial power adapter, so it suits desks and travel bags more than daily commuting. The 4K panel and high-end GPUs shorten battery life.
