The Dell Precision 7770 is an imported large-screen mobile workstation for Egyptian engineers, designers and data professionals who want desktop-class expandability. The Core i5-12600HX has 12 cores (4 performance and 8 efficient) and 16 threads, memory reaches 128GB of DDR5 via a CAMM module, and up to three M.2 slots hold up to 12TB of NVMe storage. Graphics and display vary by unit, from Intel UHD for everyday use up to an NVIDIA RTX A5500 with a 4K OLED screen.
Why Choose the Precision 7770
- 12-Core HX ProcessingFour performance cores and eight efficient cores handle CAD, compiling and multitasking faster than standard H-series chips.
- Up to 128GB DDR5A CAMM memory module reaches 128GB at 4800MHz; SODIMM configurations with ECC options are also supported.
- Three NVMe SlotsUp to three M.2 PCIe Gen4 slots with RAID support give up to 12TB total, so you can separate system, project and archive drives.
- Pro Graphics RangeOptions run from the RTX A1000 4GB through A3000 12GB up to A4500/A5500 16GB for CAD, 3D and rendering.
- FHD+ or 4K OLED DisplayPick the 1920x1200 FHD+ panel for battery life, or the 3840x2400 OLED panel for colour-critical design work.
- Complete ConnectivityTwo Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-C with DisplayPort, USB-A, HDMI and Ethernet cover office and site work.
In real work, the i5-12600HX with a large memory pool handles AutoCAD and Revit models, SolidWorks assemblies, multi-layer Photoshop files, virtual machines and 4K video timelines. On units with an RTX A4500 or A5500 you can also run GPU rendering and demanding 3D viewports, and up to three NVMe slots leave room for large datasets.
Some honest limits. Every unit is a different configuration, so check the variant for exact RAM, storage, graphics and display before you buy. The i5-12600HX has fewer performance cores than the i7/i9 HX options in this range, so it suits everyday CAD and multitasking better than the heaviest simulation workloads. The 7770 is a large 16-inch machine at about 2.6-2.7kg with a heavy power adapter, so it is a desk and travel-bag workstation, not a daily commuter. The OLED panel and high-end GPUs shorten battery life, and fans run loud under sustained full load.
Who It's Built For
- Engineers & ArchitectsRun CAD, BIM and simulation software with a strong RTX card and lots of RAM.
- Designers & EditorsEdit large image and video files on the 4K OLED display with fast NVMe scratch drives.
- Data Scientists & DevelopersKeep virtual machines, containers and large datasets loaded at the same time.
- Budget-Conscious ProfessionalsGet flagship-chassis expandability at a lower entry point than the i7/i9 HX configurations.
